Women Seek to End Scoring Drought

At 0-6-1, the DU women's soccer team is in an unfamiliar position. With only one goal in seven matches, Jeff Hooker had the team out today working on goal scoring. Typically, goal scorers are born and not made so the challenge is especially difficult without some of the creative goal scorers Hooker has coached in the recent past - Kristen Hamilton, Taryn Hemmings, Kaitlin Bast, and Nichole DiGiacomo.

The women's next match is Friday, September 18th at 7 p.m. at Cyber Field versus Villanova. Hopefully, the women can start to rattle the nets.

Tough year for the women. This is the first time in the Jeff Hooker era that DU has seen such a poor offensive output. I don't know if they will be able to get it corrected this year, but there are some substandard Summit League teams that should be quite beatable for this team. Let's hope that the coaching staff is recruiting some offense...
