(left) Kyle Ostrow leads the Nanaimo Clippers (BCHL) in scoring2007 Recruit Kyle Ostrow has been selected for the Team Canada West Roster for the World Junior 'A' Challenge. Ten players in total were named to the team from the BCHL. This is the first ever Junior 'A' Tournament and will include teams from Russia, Belarus, Slovaki, Germany as well as a team from Canada East. The tournament will be from November 6th to the 12th in Yorkton, Saskatchewan .
Ostrow is current leading the Nanaimo Clippers in scoring with 5 goals and 13 assists. All his goals have come via the Power Play. The Clippers sit in third place in their division after dropping their last three games.
The other DU recruit on Ostrow's team is highly sought after goaltender Mark "Chevy" Cheverie. He currently has a record of 4 wins 2 losses, a 4.24 GAA and a save percentage of .853
