Great win and a good start for DU. The only negative is that Tyler Ruegsegger got hurt late in the 3rd period and didn't return. Gwoz isn't sure if he will be avilable tomorrow. :-(

DU got what many of us expected tonight: a real battle from a tough UAA team that came to play. Kudos to the Pios for fighting back and getting the win. I also give a lot of credit to UAA. They played a physical game and never let up.

Strange start tonight. Both teams seemed cautious and without much energy, as if they were feeling each other out for a period or so. UAA picked up their game, scored some opportunistic goals, and then DU finally woke up a bit and Tyler R. took over. The 3rd period had much more of a playoff feel. Both teams battling hard, creating chances, and a little bit of chippiness.

I really think DU needs to commit more to a forecheck tomorrow. It was far too easy for UAA to skate the puck out on many occasions, and Denver's d-men were constantly running back to get the dump in and then getting hit. The Pios need to pick up the physical play.

Great character win for the Pios tonight fighting back from 2-0 to win it. Wins like that show character on a team. DU needs to wrap this up tomorrow night to avoid any downfall.

Huge Reps for The Rubber Band Man stepping it up to ultimately save the day. I hope he's not out long and it's just a sore arm or something not serious.

Also listening to the radio Rocky is close to hitting 100 points as a Pioneer. Sounds like not many players hit the century mark so that will be something to look forward to.
