The 2009 WCHA Final 5 will begin on Thursday evening with a matchup between Minnesota and Minnesota Duluth at 6:07 pm MDT. Prior to that contest, the WCHA will present it's post-season individual awards at the annual WCHA Awards Banquet.
On Friday, there will be two semi-final matchups contested, with Wisconsin facing-off against Denver at 1:07 pm MDT and the winner of Thursday night's game going up against North Dakota at 6:07 pm MDT.
Then on Saturday, the playoff championship will conclude with the Third Place Game at 1:07 pm MDT and the Broadmoor Trophy championship game at 6:07 pm MDT. The winner of the Final Five receives the WCHA's automatic berth into the NCAA tournament.
All five 2009 Red BaronTM WCHA Final Five games will be telecast live by Fox Sports North and audiocast live via the league's official web site - wcha.com.
Four WCHA-member team pep bands from the University of North Dakota, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota and Michigan Tech University will be performing at the Final Five.
