Chambers Blog: Murray Starts In Net Tonight

Mike Chambers Blog has all the details on DU goaltender Adam Murray, who gets back in the goaltender rotation tonight against Alaska-Anchorage.

Earlier in the week we mentioned that tonight's game against UAA would be broadcast on a tape delayed basis at 10 AM MST on Saturday. According to this NHL.com Schedule that appears to be the case, however my DirectTV Guide shows Minnesota vs. Minnesota-Duluth. Tune in to find out I guess.

If they do show the DU vs. UAA game, the NHL Network will replay the comedy special Tiger Pride: Eight Decades of CC Hockey immediately afterwards. Should be good for a laugh or two.

For a journalist from a reputable newspaper, Chamber's is very unprofessional. I can see now why Gwoz has no respect for him.

Time to grow up and act like an adult.

What are you talking about? If you're referring to the casual nature of his post...it's a BLOG and meant to be more informal than his articles that are printed in the newspaper. Personally, I prefer the style in his blog.

...to continue my post from above. The print articles usually just present fact and no opinion. Conversely, Chambers' is more free to express opinion in his blog. For example, Post article would say something like "Gwoz is still recovering from a cold". It gives you no indication of the severity of the cold or anything. But his blog adds more "color" and really lets you know that Gwoz is sick as a dog.

Chambers does a great job. This whiner probably only learned to read recently.

Is it safe to assume Murray is running out of chances to prove himself at this level? I hope he does well tonight, I really do, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little worried about him being between the pipes tonight

I watched Murray play in the Springs, he looked nervous and very uncomfortable. Sam faced a heck of lot more shots that night and a number of shorthanded situations. I hope he does well tonight, but I have my doubts. Let's hope the guys score lots of goals.
