Your mascot is creepy and can't even skate

Denver Boone is "unoffical" and can't enter the ice surface for liability and political reasons, but it's not because he can't skate.

Was Eddie Miller at the Alumni get together?

He was one of my first coaches way back when. Great guy.

It just sucks that Denver has lost thier last 2 games they've played on olympic ice surfaces to - with all due respect, crappy teams. And to make matters worse, it just fuels the fire for the future between the Gophers and the Tigers I guess. Lucia and Owens both know the Denver is a much better team then they both are.....almost like the both "got away with one". I guess we all better hope DU never has to compete in the playoffs on the big ice... otherwise they're screwed. I'm stating fact. This is not the team that competed in the Springs' regionals a few years ago.....

Lost 2 of last 3 on Olympic ice.

I agree that this team has problems on the large ice. Not sure why. In general, we are a smaller and faster team with more skill than our opponents. You'd think that this team would play better on the large ice than small ice.

Although, this might just be a case of home field advantage. CC and Minn. have much more experience on the large ice surface. In the NCAAs, the large ice might still play to our advantage since there's a good chance we will only play teams that also have NHL surfaces at their home arenas.

The other thing that you need to take into account about the two losses to Minn and CC. DU played like absolute crap. They would have gotten their asses kicked on Olympic ice, NHL ice, pond ice, doesn't matter.

I wouldn't worry too much about the ice surface in the NCAAs. It's all about which DU team decides to show up.
