Newsmax.com broke down the top five D-1 men's collegiate sports and named the best program in each sport.
The University of Michigan came out on top in football, University of Texas in baseball, University of Kentucky in basketball, the University of Virginia in soccer and the University of Denver in ice hockey.

Needless to say, we agree.
University of Denver Ice Hockey
Apart from academic excellence, the University of Denver offers sports training in various disciplines. But it’s the ice hockey team which has made the university’s sports club, the Denver Pioneers, famous. Since 1949, the university has been playing NCAA Division I hockey and is one of the most successful hockey programs in the history of collegiate hockey. The university has been successful in placing numerous players into the National Hockey League.

Go DU!
Do you have a link to the whole story?
Corrected. :-)
Nice catch. I had the wrong link posted.
That is so awesome and you finally won a NCAA game good for you tools
Yeah, and we "finally" won 8 NCAA games in a row a few years ago for two national titles, beaooootttchhh! Keep the jealousy coming, it's flattering.
Attendance was not one of the factors they used
The key in that statement is "academic excellence".
Our attendance is over 85% of seats available and is in the top 10 of the sport in an oversaturated sports market.
Attendence wise, We compare very well to BU and BC, two larger schools in a similar oversaturated market, and DU tickets are more expensive than BU or BC tickets.
Feel the pride. BTW, now that the SEALs have a little down time, maybe we can arrange for them to drop in on Anonymous (however many of them there are) for a little attitude adjustment.
yeah, i'm with old pio. screw anonymous. anonymous is probably just a metro scumbag anywho. we win. all other sissy programs suck. winning.
It seems to me that anon comments fuel the fire (for better or worse) and that DG needs to keep them.
Remember the Tommy Cross incident or the copy boy from Kinko’s? For different reasons, the copy boy thing was a lot of fun for everyone involved. Winning! Duh!
In all reality, DG must have some handle on who is making posts. When I post as anon he should know that it’s me. That’s pretty basic blog stat info.
I think he keeps those posts anon because it’s the right thing to do.
For the most part, at the end of the day, it’s all anonymous. You don’t know me (with maybe the exception of CO14ers) and I don’t know you.
As far as the Metro scumbag comment… grow the fuck up. I went to a public college, Western State College of Colorado. I’m not ashamed. I loved it. I thrived and graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Thrived at Wasted State? LOL. That's something to be really proud of. You must hang participation ribbons from the ceiling of your trailer home much like the banners of the college hockey team you cheer for.
anon 12:05 yes and then you also lost what 3 or 4 ncaa games in a row
Yes, Anon 10:52. But there's something about winning 8 in a row that can tide you over for a few years. That good will won't last forever. But I'd rather have 2 national championships in 7 years than 7 frozen four appearances with no titles.
Mexico graduated moutha fulla cum.
it's getting stupid in here. cranky pio in da house.
