Should be a good chance for us to pick up some top Canadian recruits. Speaking of top Canadian recruits, Wesley Berg is on pace to outscore Jamie Lincoln, Jay Card, Kevin Crowley, Jordan McBride, Garrett Billing, Alex Gajic, and Curtis Dickson in the BCJALL. The only guy who scored at a slightly higher pace is our own Mark Matthews.
An excellent recruiting opportunity to get top Canadian players to D.U.
Tierny should benchmark the Chief's method on building our hockey program in the 60's. He mined western Canadians when most schools ,particularly the eastern ones, didn't. Once that railroad becomes well established it continually feeds players.
Thanks for the heads up on Wesley Berg. I posted an article.
Back in the 60s, a number of Murray Armstrong's Canadian hockey recruits to DU also played lacrosse. Magnuson, Korroll and Craig Patrick were all lax players too, I think.
Someone had a photo this weekend in Baltimore of Maggie and a few of the other hockey legends playing lacrosse at DU in the '60s.
