R.I.T.'s Michael Colavecchia |
Its the oldest story in hockey. A Canadian hockey player comes down to the United States on a college scholarship. Then when he returns home after his Freshman season he is arrested by the Toronto Police Department for money laundering, having fraudulantly obtained money in his bank account and conspiracy. Oh yeah, his Mom and Dad are chucked in jail as well.
"Michael Colavecchia, who recently completed his freshman season (6g, 12a) at Rochester Institute of Technology, was arrested this week and charged with money laundering and conspiracy in an alleged scheme to defraud the Toronto Transit Commission [read entire article]."

Shoulda used the money to buy a better shirt...
What bottom feeders this kid's parents are--getting him involved in their criminality. As guilty as he may be, he didn't think up this scheme.
You have to think the Police arrested & charged the son to put the pressure on the Dad to confess.
Classy family. That nitwit needs not only a new shirt but also a new haircut.
How did Hackstol miss out on this guy? Huge recruiting failure.
My thoughts exactly, this guy fits perfectly into Hack's Bad Boyz program of goon hockey. Maybe he couldn't measure up to their high academic standards (all recruits must be able to recite the alphabet and count to 10).
