Fortunately for the Avalanche, prized St. Louis Blues prospect Jaden Schwartz is playing another year of college hockey. Thus, he will not be with the Blues tonight at the Pepsi Center.
Unfortunately for the University of Denver, Schwartz is still playing for Colorado College [read entire article].

Note to DU, bring your A game tonight boys. You are going to need a 110% effort to beat CC. The Tigers are hungry after scoring 9 goals and still losing both games last weekend to the Sue.
I can see this being one of those 7-6 games, for either team. Both teams skate and both teams can score in bunches.
Both defenses aren't that good, and goaltending is a question mark as well for both teams.
They key is staying out of the box and playing smart when everyone else is losing their head.
I unfortunately could also see this being a 7-2 game, which I think would fall in CC's favor.
DU should be able dictate this with some discipline, but going down early would probably not bode well.
Great story by MC on a super talented kid with an amazing heart and focus. We're privledged to have such great college hockey in CO. Go Pios!
Why all the love for CC players in a Denver newspaper? Is the Gazette running a story on Zucker??? I think not....
NOW WHY THE BIG STORY ON A CC PLAYER IN DENVER PAPER
I MEAN HE HASNT EVEN MAKE TEAM USA LAST YEAR AND ZUCKER MAKE TEAM TWICE
I SIOUX FAN BUT THIS MAKE NO SENSE
6:37, wow. Just wow.
I've been calling you out on your Schwartz (a Canadian) and Team USA nonsense for years but you keep on going.
I do like your caveman "I Sioux fan..." quote though. It appears spot on authentic, but I'm guessing you are a CC fan. Perhaps even our good friend Mexico.
