The winner ticket was claimed by DU alum Damien Goddard of Houston, Texas.
In a related story, the Colorado Gaming Control Board is launching an investigation into Mr. Goddard's alleged ties to organized crime and a history of irregular raffle and contest results at the University of Denver stretching as far back as 1987.
50/50 Raffle organizer and DU Hockey Alumni Association president Rod Summers could not be reached for comment.
