Paul Kelly, the one time head of the NHL Players Association, has resigned his post as Executive Director of College Hockey Inc.
College Hockey Inc. was created two years ago by the Hockey Commissioners Association to be the marketing and educational arm of college hockey. The hiring of Kelly made an immediate splash in hockey circles because of his name [read entire article].

i have no idea the implications, but it was nice to have, at least for a little while someone who was a voice for college hockey. he battled the CHL while coaches and schools really can't say much.
a diffucult line to draw - - some of the ECAC (and certainly the AHA) schools have to have Canadians (as there aren't enough Americans, evidently, who meet admissions requirements)
This was a power play and he lost.
Just reading the tea leaves, I suspect that the smaller schools were miffed that the current round of league alignments favored the traditional hockey powers.
