The Tigers are winless in their past seven, and last weekend’s 8-4 loss at Nebraska-Omaha ranks among the worst performances of the Owens era, which started in 1999.  This is a lost team wandering through a mind-numbingly awful season.

If you think things are bad for CC wait til next season.

The problem is recruiting.

Last season CC's Freshman class didn't score a goal all season long. You'd be hard pressed to find the last time that's happened at any college hockey program in the country.

This year they only have one Freshman or Sophomore in the top 10 in scoring on the team. Although their Freshman class has combined for 5 goals this season, its one less than DU's Quinten Shore.

Dark days lie ahead my friend.

I think the wheels are going to fall apart at CC for sometime to come.

Unless they can find top notch hockey players interested in pottery, cooking class, and poetry, the Walrus is going to struggle.
