Will DU sit on its hands, and do nothing to promote a good home field atmosphere and home field advantage for this game?? Or are they going to leave it to the students and alums to do it, like they always do? Nobody is watching CU football on Saturdays, so CU will probably have a lot of fans at this soccer game. Hoping the powers that be (which is usually LetsGoDu, rather than the school) ensure that there is a proper home field advantage for this game. Go PIOS!!!
d.u.g.s. is tailgating this one, for what it's worth.
The event was a full house. There were a fair number of CU fans there but DU was very well represented.
DU had a good first half but got over-powered in the second half. I was impressed with the big crowd...
Sadly, DU was outcoached tonight. cu kept a bunch of players back, and DU was always outnembered on their attacks. No effective halftime adjustments were made, either. Also, Cu no. 20 was a dynamic player that DU did not have an answer for. A disappointing loss but DU had no strategy in this game, aside from good chances on the last five minutes that they couldn't muster before. At least hockey team won to even it out, but DU soccer coach should take some heat for this loss. Go pios, lacrosse season approaches!
