Netters Take Three for the Crown

The DU Volleyball team took out UT Arlington, Western Michigan, and Villanova to win the Pioneer Classic. The Pioneers showed grit as they won a number of tight games and moved their overall record to 5-1. With a small home crowd a week before the start of the fall session, they kept their energy on the court. DU's Cassie Baird was named the tournament MVP. For anyone who has never seen women's collegiate volleyball and Jesse Mahoney's team, give it a try.

Hopefully, when they return home in two weeks, expect more wins and a larger crowd.
