Weekend Road Warriors Return Home for Simultaneous Bouts

The high-flying DU men's soccer team took down the Leathernecks of Western Illinois 2-0 in Macomb, Illinois. The women's volleyball team, coming off a big Friday road win, dropped a tight Saturday match to IUPUI on the road on the second night of a challenging back-to-back road trip.

Big questions remain for both squads. Can they return to Denver and win important early week matches against North Dakota State and The University of South Florida respectively? Both teams play at home (CIBER/Magness) on Tuesday the 29th at 7:00 p.m..

The soccer game is pretty compelling. USF is a top 30 program right now, and perfectly capable of giving DU all they want. The Pios deserve larger crowds as a top -10 level team, and perhaps a Tuesday night is a better night for people to come out vs. the last home game on a Sunday night.

Summit League Volleyball is a tough watch on any night. Just sayin....
