Michigan State Goes Over the Line
Michigan State recently underwent the first phase of renovating their home Ice - Munn Arena. As part of the renovations, the blue lines were painted Spartan-green when the ice was flooded over the summer. It was Michigan State AD Mark Hollis' idea, according to the Detroit Free Press, saying "it is about the heritage and the color of the school without taking any of the integrity of the game away."
The NCAA, and likely over a century of history, disagreed. Instead the Spartans will have to repaint the lines blue and maintain the integrity of the rules.
Does this mean DU can't use the crimson and gold pucks at Homecoming?
