Over the past four years Colorado College and Denver have played some of their most important games in the history of the 50 year rivalry. NCAA bids, MacNaughton Trophies, Broadmoor Trophies and two National Championships have been on the line. Since these games have been so important, the we compared Sterling & Kings offensive production against each other.
2002-03: CC swept DU in the four games they played against each other. Although Sterling had 0 points against DU, he wins the head-to-head with Danny King, who didn't play against CC.

2003-04: DU & CC split the six games they played against each other. Sterling had one goal in six games (the "goal" was on a 5 on 3 Power Play with CC leading 5-1 in the Third Period). Although King didn't play against CC, he won a National Championship ring.

2004-05: DU won four of the six meetings and won the MacNaughton, Broadmoor & NC Trophies. Sterling chipped in 0 goals & 0 assists again. Although King didn't play against CC, he won another NC ring

2005-06: In the first two games of the series, Sterling had 0 goals & 0 assists. He gave Mannino a nice little cheap shot pushing his helmet into the ice. DU won both games. King didn't score.
