The Viking Cup is an international hockey tournament held annually in Alberta, Canada. This year national teams from Finland, Switzerland, USA, Slovokia, Germany and two teams from Alberta participated. Camrose, Alberta played host for the 25th rendition of the tournament. Two DU recruits, Jesse Martin (DU-2007) and Matt Glasser (DU-2006) played together for the Alberta North squad.
Both players scored several goals throughout the tournament. Jesse Martin had 4 goals and 3 assists, while Matt Glasser had 2 goals. The good news is that Alberta North also won the Viking Cup. Both players are listed by Heisenberg's website as the top two prospects out of Alberta.
