Who Hates DU More? CC or UNDIts the classic quantity vs. quality debate. Colorado College fans have a deep hatred of DU for many reasons, most of which are legitimate. You have that whole "big city-little city" complex, business school vs. liberal arts, championships vs. Hobey Baker Awards, 2005 vs. 1957 to name a few.

This week on SiouxSports.com, the North Dakota Hockey Message Board, the hatred has been ratcheted up a level with both UND and DU playing for their NCAA lives this weekend. Keeping in mind that DU has ended UND's season two years in a row he's a sampling of the "good stuff:"

I think it is a legitmate concern, however, UND fans hate Jeff Punkovich mostly because he is a punk for what he did against Bina. I know as a UND fan I think Carle and Gauthier are good hockey players and I have a lot of respect for them and their hockey talent. However, I will never for give Jeff Paukovich and his horrible act that kid is a thug. I think seeing him smirking in the penalty box after the hit in question did it for me. The lack of being sorry also did it. But also the fact that he is still not getting it even when he came up to Grand Forks during the series earlier this season I think he expected the fans not to remember the hit.
I don't think Pauko's hit was an intentional dirty hit. It was only "dirty" because Bina was unlucky and got injured. If we count injuries as dirty hits, then we might as well say that the UND bastard that checked Trotter and ended his season was also dirty.
PAUKOVICH RULES!
Actually if watched the tape of the hit on Trotter you will see it was a legal clean hard hit.
No DU did not "goon" it up until the end of the game and it was not that bad. A lot of late crap but what do you expect from the whoopin the Goof's just put on them? Minnie would have done the same crap.
