Riley Nash Commits To Cornell

According to Chris Heisenberg's recruiting website, Salmon Arm (BCHL) forward Riley Nash has committed to play at Cornell. From what we heard it was between DU and Cornell and since his brother already plays at Cornell, that was probably the deciding factor. Best of luck to Riley Nash in the future.

For DU, the recruiting attention will almost certainly turn to the defensive side of the ice. DU will need to find a goaltender to replace Peter Mannino after next season and defensemen are an obvious immediate priority.

That's a bummer. Nash sounded like the real deal. Any defensemen on the radar?

Not that I know of. You have to assume that with Veideman & Fast's departure DU needs someone to step in.

This is pretty late in the recruiting season to find a lockdown defenseman. NCAA D-men take far longer to adapt to college hockey than forwards & goaltenders.
