At least we didn't lose Butler and Mannino, like the Denver Post (Chambers) had stated we could. Could you imagine the world of hurt we would be in if we had lost those 2 guys? Losing Mannino would've been a season killer for sure...

No matter how bleak things might appear it could always be worse. Losing Butler would have been really tough. This could be his final year.

To be fair it was Gwozdecky who told Chambers and the Denver Post that DU had three players who were "flight risks."

Luckily, Butler & Mannino are returning.

DU isn't going to have a lot of depth but if the game's on the line they can send out Ruegsegger, Rakhshani, Trotter, Thomas, Butler & Mannino. Thats a pretty strong outfit.

The top line should be stellar. Beyond that it seems like it might be a crapshoot. Hopefully Brookwell will step up on defense and be a force. Jon Cook should be a welcome addition, if he's anything like his brother. Beyond that, I'm not sure who else we can depend on defensively. Haven't seen much of Marcuzzi since he's been here.

Hopefully guys such as May, Mullen, Glasser, and Gifford can elevate their games.

Just signed a new defensive recruit from the USHL John Ryder.

Don't hold your breath waiting to see "Cookie Monster II" this season. He's a project.
