Mike Chamber's Blog Reveals Projected Lineup
Denver Post sportswriter Mike Chambers' new Blog takes an early look at DU's projected line-up/depth chart going into Fall practices. You have to think that since Chambers spends so much time around the team and has access to the DU coaching staff this may be close to what hits the ice on opening day.

So far his Blog is off to a hot start so drop him a comment or two.

Offense

Rakhshani - Ruegsegger - Trotter

Gifford - Bozak - Mullen

May - Maiani - Martin

Ostrow - Glasser - Vossberg

(subs) Jackson, Cunningham

Defense

Thomas - Testwuide

Butler - Brookwell

Ryder - Marcuzzi

(subs) Cook, Brehm, Nutini, Blom

Goaltenders

Mannino

(sub) Cheverie

most DU fans seem to want to see Ostrow a little higher up the depth chart. Not sure what going on there...

Remember, this was Chambers' best guess work at this time. I've talked to people who have actually seen him play and they all agree that Ostrow is the real deal.

Both of these blogs are great. I checked out Chambers' blog as soon as soon as it was advertised here. It's always good to get the scoop from inside. Thanks DG for all of the good work.

What's the word on Jackson and Cunningham at forward? Are these guys primarily going to be 4th liners/checking line? Based on Cunningham's PIM totals previously I'm guessing he will bring some grit and a physical aspect to the team.

I've heard that Jackson very well could challenge for playing time right from the start.

Cunningham is probably the next version of Steven Cook -- giving it his all but not a whole heck of a lot of talent.

Twister,

Thanks for the good word. Chamber's Blog will be great for for DU hockey fans. It will allow LetsGoDU to focus on character assassination, slander and plagiarism. In other words..what I'm good at.

Jackson is my "sleeper pick" for biggest surprise in the Freshman class, so we'll see how it goes. His numbers were pretty good in the NAHL last year, so you'd have to think that he will be ahead of what Vossberg did last year coming from the NAHL as well.

Good to hear that Ostrow is doing well so far in practice. If DU is going to do anything this year Ostrow & Bozak have to have huge seasons.
