DU Gets Commitment From Drew Shore

USHR and Heisenberg have reported that Drew Shore has commited to DU for 2009. Shore is playing this season with the USNDP. He's a 6' 2, 190 lb. forward born on 1/29/91 and is from Englewood, Colorado. Before the national team, he was with Honeybaked Minor Midget in Detriot.

He was the first American drafted in the WHL draft this year by Chilliwack. He was selected in the 2nd round #22 overall.

USHR reported that he took visits to Harvard, BC and Wisconsin, plus took a look at Notre Dame. Also stated that both his parents are DU Law School grads and he and his 3 brothers have attended hockey camps at DU.

He is the 2nd leading scorer on the U-17 team with 3 goals and 3 assists after 5 games. He is the 3rd player from this team to commit to DU along with Wrenn and Murray. He is still 16 and will turn 17 in January. Looks like another great pick-up by DU for 2009.
