Mike Chambers had two more Blog Entries yesterday and both of them are great reads. Peter Mannino gave his
Goaltender Stick to a DU Alum and his
News & Notes article had a bunch of good info, though none better than this little gem...
"[I] Also visited with former DU stars Cliff Koroll (1966-69), Jim Wiste (1966-68) and Don Cameron (1965-67) before practice. The trio will be at Friday’s game. Wiste told me a good story about the ‘67 team. Early in the season, he said the Pios outshot Minnesota-Duluth 25-1 in the first period but trailed 1-zip. In the locker room between periods, coach Murray Armstrong wasn’t concerned with the shots differential or the score but . . . “Who allowed that shot,” Armstrong said, according to Wiste. DU went on to win 2-1 in OT against UMD’s goalie Chico Resch, who went on to play for the Colorado Rockies."
