University of Denver junior Chris Butler, senior Peter Mannino and freshman Tyler Bozak received All-WCHA honors, announced today by the Western Collegiate Hockey Association at the league's annual awards banquet at the RiverCentre.

Butler was named to the All-WCHA second-team, while Mannino and Bozak were named the third team. In addition, Bozak was named to the All-WCHA rookie team.

“Chris, Peter and Tyler are very deserving of All-WCHA honors,” DU head coach George Gwozdecky said.

“They all play very important on-ice roles for our team and are having outstanding seasons.”

Butler, who was named to the All-WCHA rookie team in 2005, has tallied 17 points on three goals and 14 assists. Butler leads the team with 85 blocked shots and is second with 113 hits. He tied for 11th in scoring among WCHA defensemen in league games with 12 points on two goals and 10 assists.

He is a four-time Red Baron WCHA Defensive Player of the Week honoree and DU’s career shutouts leader with 15.
