Ostrow Lite Leads Camrose To Playoff Victory

(above) DU recruit Joe Colborne (#12) was in the thick of the action last night, but its was Shawn Ostrow who stole the show

From: Fort McMurray Oil Barons Website

A DU recruit scored two decisive goals for the Camrose Kodiaks last night and it wasn't Joe Colborne. Shawn Ostrow scored short-handed and powerplay goals, including the game winner, to lead Camrose to a 5-2 come from behind victory over Ft. McMurray in the Alberta Junior Hockey League's Championship series.

With a 2-1 lead in the second intermission all the Ft. McMurray had to do was to keep doing the things that got them in that position, but instead the Oil Baron fans laid witness to a bad case of Jekyll & Hyde syndrome. Camrose took advantage of 4 defensive gaffes by the MOB in the third period, which allowed them to easily and handily walk out of the building with a 5-2 win.

The Kodiaks would hit the back of the Baron net 4 times, first Shawn Ostrow with a pair (short-handed & power play), then Mike Connolly with 2 more tallies...all unassisted markers, stunning the partisan crowd.

Camrose
leads the best of seven series three games to one.

I'm starting to think that Shawn Ostrow is the "Real Deal." Looks like DU just took Kyle to get a shot a Shawn. :-)

Not bad timing for Shawn to have a game like that in front of 20 NHL scouts.

Any other Ostrow brothers, cousins or relatives in the pipeline?
