USA Hockey announced the 21-player roster for the 2008-09 U.S. National Under-17 Team within USA Hockey's National Team Development Program.

University of Denver recruit Jason Zucker (Las Vegas, Nev.) will be the first Nevada native to compete at the NTDP in its 12-year history. Zucker was the first player to commit to DU's 2010 recruiting class

"We are looking forward to working with this team and helping develop young men, hockey players and representatives of USA Hockey in international competition," said John Hynes, head coach of the U.S. National Under-17 Team.

The roster includes two goaltenders, seven defensemen and 12 forwards.

Also included on the team is forward Nick Shore (Denver, Colo.), who, along with brother Drew of the U.S. National Under-18 Team, becomes the first sibling duo to play at the NTDP at the same time. Drew Shore commited to DU to play in 2009 and Nick is almost certainly on DU's recruiting radar.
