BRECLAV, Czech Republic – The U.S. Under-18 Select Team, including DU 2009 recruit Paul Phillps, fell to the Czech Republic, 5-2, today at the 2008 Under-18 Memorial of Ivan Hlinka tournament. Zach Budish (Edina, Minn.), who scored one goal and added one assist, was named Team USA's Player of the Game.

"We played hard from the start of the game today," said Team USA Head Coach and former DU assistant coach Seth Appert (Albany, N.Y.). "The loss today was not from lack of physical effort. Unfortunately, we just had a few mental mistakes."

The U.S. Under-18 Select Team returns to action Saturday (Aug. 16) when it faces Switzerland in its final game of the tournament at 9:30 a.m. EDT in Breclav, Czech Republic. (Full Story)
