DU 2 UMD 1 - Colborne Express Arrives In Denver

(above) Chevy makes the save while Cody Brookwell gets physical with UMD
- Denver Post

DU spent most of the first period in the sin bin while Minnesota Duluth put in an inspired efffort. Rhett Rakhshani was injured in the opening period and did not play the rest of the game. Unconfirmed reports said he suffered an injury to his mid section. He was able to escort/skate his parents out for the ceremony in between the 1st and 2nd periods.

Joe Colborne scored a PP goal to put DU ahead in the 2nd period. Gergen got credit for the UMD goal off a puck that deflected off of Brookwell's skate. The puck was shot into the zone by Gergen and it was headed well wide of the net. UMD was on the PP and was also on a delayed penalty when the goal went off of Brookwell's skate.

Tyler Ruegsegger scored the game winner on a beautiful pass from Joe Colborne in the 3rd period. It was also a PP goal.

A nice win for Jimbo on Parent's Weekend.

Love the Boone Banner in the student section, what happened to Rakshani, and why didn't Testuwide suit up?

Boone Banner is what DG brought from Houston. He gave it to the studenst to sign and wave. Not sure what happened to Rakhshani but he did skate his parents onto the ice for the ceremony between the 1st and 2nd periods. Testwuide has a lower body injury and did not play at all this weekend. Stickney says that Testwuide hopes to be back next weekend.

I heard that The Rock has a slight rib injury and hopefully after some treatment will be back next weekend. Let's hope that is the case.

Boone Banner has been offically donated to the Boonetown Student Section.

Last night almost 500 people signed the flag. Signatutees included students, alums, hockey fans, DU parents & little kids (future Pioneer hockey players).

Where was the offense last night? Only 20 shots after 40+ vs CC?

Who cares?

We won.

Look at the positive performances Chevy turned in this weekend. This is the Chevy we need in order to be contenders.

GO DU!
