I pray he's alright. I'd hate to see a good kid like him go down.

This sucks. Was the hit a cheap one?

This is a kick in the teeth. I don't know much about this type of injury but with a tear I'm assuming he'll be out a few weeks or so......

Just finished this surgery myself (Menisectomy) and I guarantee he'll be on the ice in 2 weeks tops.

6-8 weeks is the norm, for normal people. Depends on the damage, but i wouldn't think it would be that long.

Bummer Tyler, get well soon.

No it wasn't a cheap hit, just accidental knee-to-knee on saturday

Based on his comments to Mike Chambers of the Denver Post, it sounds like he's going to be out for a while...

"I just want to be 100% for the playoffs"

This sounds like a potentially serious blow to the Pioneers.

Yet Gwoz's comments say he could be back for the Tech series on Jan. 9th. ?????? I wouldn't venture a guess because each case is different.

No reason to rush his return as Tyler needs to be 100% due to the risk of re-injury. I have seen several Islanders try to return too early this season only to go back on the shelf for a long period of time, i.e., DiPietro and Comrie amongst others.

Where did Gwoz say he'd be back by Jan 9th?

From Chambers in the Denver Post

"DU coach George Gwozdecky said Bozak, who has 21 points in 18 games, will not play in the Jan. 2-3 Denver Cup against Holy Cross and either RPI or Boston University, but he could return Jan. 9 when the Pioneers resume Western Collegiate Hockey Association play against Michigan Tech."

Even if the Pioneers are without Bozak for a while, they've proven that they have plenty of depth to cover for him.
