DU Rolls To Series Sweep Over Michigan Tech

“You have to give Denver credit,” said MTU coach Jamie Russell. “That is one talented hockey team.”
The University of Denver rolled to a 6-1 victory on Saturday night in Houghton, Michigan. Every line scored for DU tonight for the first time this season. The numbers are just mind blowing. DU outscored Michigan Tech 12-1 on the weekend.

Joe Colborne had a shorthanded goal and two assists for his first three point night in college hockey. Colborne has 10 points during DU's five-game winning streak.

DU has outscored their last five opponents 26-3 in this era of defensive hockey. The five-game winning streak is taking on epic proportions.

Heh, I'm pretty damn sure a bunch of drunk chimpanzees on rollerblades could beat Michigan Tech right now, I mean, I've seen crappy hockey, but this brings a new meaning to it. What the heck is up with your dumbass Norwegian goalie and his blue helmet though? Who would let something like that happen? That is probably the ugliest piece of crap I've ever seen in my life, what dipshit picks blue to go with maroon, or even fricking white uniforms? Someone should smack that guy for being so color-inept. I thought goalies were supposed to be vain enough to care about their coordination.

What a great weekend. The Pios played up to their abilities, Colbourne has come alive, the Goal Czar continues to impress us all, Cheverie has allowed only 3 goals in the last five games and CC loses.

Life is good in Booneland

Wow, is Tech really that bad, or is DU just that good?

Tech lost two games to Bemidji last week and only scored one goal against the Beavers. So we know that DU is as good as Bemidji. :-)

Great weekend for DU! Tech is obviously not an elite team, but to go on the road against a league opponent and score 12 and only give up 1 is quite a feat. Let's keep the momentum going.....
