From: Denver PostShortly after an exciting 5-4 Avalanche overtime win Tuesday night, the grim news from the X-ray machine came: Paul Stastny, Colorado's best player, suffered a broken right forearm and will be out indefinitely (4-8 weeks).
Stastny suffered the injury in the final minute of regulation, after blocking a shot from Phoenix's Olli Jokinen.
Clark in the penalty box and goalie Ilya Bryzgalov off for the extra skater when Jokinen blasted a shot from the point. It hit Stastny square to the right forearm and he immediately dropped his stick and doubled over in pain. Stastny managed to get up and keep defending without the stick, but immediately exited the ice after Coyotes forward Shane Doan put a shot past Avs goalie Andrew Raycroft.

And how is "indefinitely" 4-8 weeks? Sounds like a definite time frame to me.
yep--I was there, three rows up from where he got hit. He was in big time pain. He had an awesome game--two assists and two PP goals (one the refs stole). This is a team that had little offense and now with him gone it will be reduced too far. Hope he has a speedy recovery.
