Sounds like Donovan is a Carle, Butler, Wiercioch type player?

I haven't seen him play, but I'm picturing a more physical prototypical NHL defenseman than the guys you mentioned. Sounds like he has great offensive skills.

“Matt has worked very hard and shown a lot of poise and composure in the past two seasons,” said RoughRiders Coach and General Manager Mark Carlson. “He's competed hard night in and night out and that’s paid off tremendously him.”

Donovan sounds like a stud. A bruiser back there would be nice.
