This Week's Polls

"We had Joe Colborne (15 points in 17 games) and Patrick Wiercioch (14 points in 15 games) pegged as top incoming freshmen. We didn't see Luke Salazar (10 goals, 15 points in 16 games), however … and it's not because he's 5-7."

LetsGoDU Top 10 SuperPoll®

1). Denver - DU has outscored opponents 26-3 during 5 game winning streak.
2). Boston University - Impressive three point weekend against BC
3). Notre Dame - Early season loss to DU now in rear view mirror
4). Miami - Enjoyed a nice relaxing weekend pounding on "CCHA Cupcake of the Week" Western Michigan.
5). Wisconsin - What do the Team Canada scouts think about Patrick Wiercioch (7 goals, 7 assists in 15 games)? They love the kid.
6). Air Force - Still the #1 ranked team in Colorado Springs.
7). Northeastern - 3rd Place in the RPI Tournament and will likely get third place in the Beanpot, but may win Hockey East.
8). Boston College - 4 more National Championships and they'll be tied with DU.
9). Princeton - We're not actually buying any of this "Princeton is really good" crap the national college publications are selling, we just think it would be funny to see another ECAC #1 seed get trounced in the Tourney
10). Minnesota - The Michigan Tech of the Big Ten Showcase
Last). Colorado College - Just when you think things can't get any worse, they tie and lose to Minnesota-Duluth.

The LetsGoDU Super Poll® is a scientific analysis factoring strength of schedule, player statistics and coaching tendencies. Then Denver is automatically placed in the one hole, CC is placed last and the rest of the teams more or less settle where they might likely finish.

So why is Minnesota #2?

All those ties, it's like kissing your sister, you don't get any where.

I like BU at #2. After DU wacks them at the Denver Cup, though, they may drop a little.

Hey, why not give NoDak a slot. We swept Harvard. Yeah, the same institution that has infiltrated many of our investment banks, Treasury, Fed, conglomerates of all types including lending institutions, and then wreck havoc across the globe. Now we, NoDak, DU, MN, etc have to clean up their economic mess. Thanks Harvard. What a joke!
