Not pretty, but a win's a win.

Definitely wasn't pretty and DU got a couple of ugly goals but they got two big WCHA points. They remain in 1st place 3 points ahead of CC.

Ugly game tonight! What is it with the Refs, Ostrow saved Martin from taking a hit from behind from the Michigan player and he gets the instigator penalty. The guys deeks out the linesman and then bee lines it to Martin who had his back to him. Nice to know your team mates have your back covered.Hats off Ostrow

A really good game (except for the dumbass behind me trying to explain hockey to his girlfriend for the entire game), which honestly should have been won by MTU. They had out-worked DU for almost the entir 60 minutes. We got some fortunate breaks and nice stickwork by our forwards.

I'm sure FSN didn't show it, but the student section was really showing some love for Boone - a bunch of them kept wavinf this huge banner. Way to go guys! Other than that, it was a fairly poor showing for our team and at times the Huskies booster club was shouting us out from the nosebleed seats again verifying Magness as the quietest arenas in the WCHA.

Gutsy win for DU. The Pios showed some fortitude in being able to come from behind twice to tie the game. Tech's late goal to tie the game at 3 could have been a backbreaker, but the Pios persevered and earned 2 big points with the OT win. Tech appears to be a much improved team and came to win last night. The Huskies do not look like a team that has only 1 league victory and 5 overall.

Once again, DU had a poor start, which is very baffling. They came out flat and seemed content to coast and get the 1st period overwith, while Tech was flying around and hitting and carrying the play. Hard to figure, especially after getting throttled last weekend by BU, in large part to a poor start. I hope these guys will eventually learn that the game is 60 minutes.

The other observation I would make is I want DU to be a meaner, tougher team. Too often they are the hittees and the ones beng punished along the boards and there's very little in return. Jackson threw his weight around last night, which was good, and Glasser, Colborne, Ryder, and Rhett got involved a bit too. But othwerwise there's not enough physical play.

DU is too much of a "finess" team that does not like to hit at this point. Last night I also watched the Susies throw around Minny like they were rag dolls last night. Agree that Jackson was the only one trying to hit somebody. Colbourne could put the hurt on anybody but seems content skating around the periphery and avoiding contact. This really has been the case with the defense all season - no punishment doled out by the defense to opposing players in front of the net.
