DU definitely stole game one. UMD was the better team 5 on 5. but DU was able to awaken a slumbering power play, and riding big goals by Ruegsegger, Rhaksahni and Weiorcioch to get the win. Good road effor by the Pios, but they'll probably need to be better tomorrow night it get another win.

Best DU has looked on the power play in years. They looked like the Russians.

No question, UMD outplayed DU for long stretches and missed several point blank shots, but thats life on the road in the WCHA.

Maybe we can steal a point or two on Saturday.

Gritty game by the DU boys on the road. Anytime you can take the first two points on the road it is good. With all the penalties it was tough to get a good 5 on 5 flow going. Superb PP and PK tonight by the Pios. Chevy was huge. Probably wished he could have held onto the puck for UMD's 3rd goal.

Big two points and a win that we really needed to get on the road. I was watching the game and I'm going wait... this is DU's PP? When did they decide to forget about the fancy plays and play crash the net style hockey!?!?!?!

The only thing that pissed me off tonight was DU's defense. 3rd goal... ya fluky but the 1st where was the D and the 2nd who the hell were they passing to?

Either way they got the win. Rubberband Man came up big tonight getting those two goals early for us and Rocky finishing the job. Also a shout out to Weiorcioch really stepping it up on the blue line.

Expect a more physical game tomorrow night.

Sounds like you guys are drinking your own kool-aid. Maybe a little humble pie tomorrow with that drink. Did your foot soldier keep himself on the bench? At least, we know who DU's true fans are. They're from the owners of the four and only posts.

Hey 11:40 you tool - the blog is called "Let's Go DU" and is a pro-DU hockey blog. Get your pin head out of your arse if that is possible - which is highly doubtful

The Power Play was on fire.
The Penalty Kill was strong.

The 5 on 5 needs to step up tonight and end the defensive turnovers. Special teams keep up the intensity. It's great being #1 in the WCHA, but it is also a target. Every game is like playoff hockey when the League is this close.
