At 5-feet-7 and 160 pounds, junior winger Anthony Maiani won't make the University of Denver hockey team tougher against the boards or stronger in front of the defensive net. But his specialty is puck possession, the first step in playing good defense.

Maybe Gwoz should expect as much out of himself as he does from his players......dancing around ice after suspension, goin to press box after suspension, ect. These days you lead by example. Maybe the next time Gwoz comes to GFK he will bring his figure skates and put on a real show.
Gwoz has practicing on the balance beam for the GF trip.
I'd say Gwoz has set an excellent example. He has won NCAA and WCHA hardware, recruits top notch players, and set a new league record last year with 18 out of 23 eligible players on the WCHA all-academic team. He also has the integrity to suspend his players when they deserve it. He has restored the glory of Denver hockey, and runs a tight ship of a program.
If he wants to take a walk on the ice now and then to prove a point, or gets a 1-game school suspension every 14 years, I can live with it. He may not be perfect, but he's doing a phenomenal job.
gulp................ok......?
