Great win, they look like solid tonight. How can Gwoz possibly not go with Chevy tomorrow night?
I have to learn to type!
Nothing against Murray, but I'd go with Chevy as well.
DU has never gone 4-0-0 against Minnesota in a season. Lets make some history and get a rare sweep in Mariucci.
Roll the dice, start Chevy and go back to the rotation next week.
I will be mad if Chevy doesn't play tomorrow!
Game writeup is on letsgodu.com now.
FYI: The writeup says that the final score was 3-2...
Thank you for catching that mistake. It has been corrected.
FCS Colorman Doug Woog raved about DU's young defensemen.
He said, "This might be the best group of young defensemen that I've seen in this league a long time."
High praise indeed. The guys looked cool, calm and collected back there.
DU also had a ton of blocked shots and Minnesota was denied second chances or rebounds all night long.
They were defending like they were possessed...they need to do that EVERY game.
Terrific win. With that type of effort and execution the Pios will be tough to beat.
Very impressive. The building was silent in Minny the entire game which is highly unusual. DU took Minny out of the game early, and had fantastic goaltending which was the difference. You would have to be out of your mind not to start Chevy tomorrow based on his performance tonight. Your move Gwoz...
Please start Chevy tomorrow.
From Jess Myers in article in Denver Post after Friday night's game.
"Gwozdecky, who has rotated Cheverie and freshman Adam Murray in goal, said tonight's starter would be decided closer to game time."
If you go to Babel Translation Website and enter the following phase from "Gwozspeak to English"...
"Gwozdecky, who has rotated Cheverie and freshman Adam Murray in goal, said tonight's starter would be decided closer to game time."
It spits out...
"The coaches and I are going to meet all night and figure out if Murray can win the game for us or if we go with Chevy."
1. Start Chevy tonight,
2. How about an action figure:
Captain Rock, standing in a Superman like pose, but with hockey stick in his hand(s), wearing a DU jersey with a puck labeled Rock under the arched Denver.
yeaaah DEW.
Finish the vermin extermination tonite!!
NO TO MURRAY!!!
Chevy in the goal tonight per Bacher on the DU hockey blog. Dewhurst in for Knowlton is the only line-up change

Before last weekend I thought Murray deserved another chance, possibly this weekend, so he could hopefully get on track. However, I think Chevy needs to play tonight and for the next few games. DU seems to be a team finding its way and looking for some consistency. I think once that happens and they get some traction put Murray back in.
