Team Canada Selects Final Roster

Team Canada selected its team for the World Junior Championships and no NCAA players made the final roster. DU's Patrick Wiercioch was an early scratch because of a previous injury. His last minute replacement Tyler Cuma also did not make the team.

Doesn't really matter who Canada puts out there. They will have the best team bar none.

While I would agree with you that they are the prohibitive favorite, they don't seem as dominate on paper as last year.

Of course playing at home should be a huge edge.

No NCAA players made the team, Dylan Olsen of UMD and Louis LeBlanc of Harvard were among the cuts.

I would love to see Team USA battle for gold this year.

You have to face it that Canada is not in favor of educating their hockey players so when it comes time to choose players for the World Jrs they favor Brawn over Brains. Where oh where do their Jr players end up in the world when the brawn is no more? Congrats to the Canadian NCAA Hockey players on a choice well made!

They wind up playing in the NHL and playing well.
