They will be auctioning off the DU 60th Anniversary Game Worn jerseys at the banquet.
I recommend it! Lots of fun and you get to give Gwaz advice which he has to listen to.He won't take it but he will listen. I do it every year. Hasn't worked yet.
The old banquets up at Pinehurst CC were definitely the best. The current ones, meh...., are not worth it.
Maybe this year he'll be listening.
Here's mine, "Win a freakin' NCAA playoff game." :-)
He did look good on ESPN last night. Maybe he has a future on Fox Sports-Rocky Mountain after his coaching days are over.
Is it an NCAA rule that player names are removed from the jerseys before they auction them off? They lose some of their luster without the name plates.
Yes and its true of all NCAA sports.
One of the reasons why its a rule is that the players could probably sue and win a percentage of the sale of the jerseys.
Some fans go and get the names stitched back on by the manufacturer.
If I get one I'm going to put Lucas Dora on mine :-)
