(left) DU recruit Jason Zucker against the FinnsThe USA defeated Finland 5-0 in the semi-finals of the World Under-18 Championships. DU recruit Nick Shore scored two goals including the game winner at 5:44 of the first period. He also recorded an assist in the 2nd Period. Both his goals were even strength.
Playing together on the USA first line, Shore has 3 goals and 6 assists in the tournament while fellow DU recruit Jason Zucker has 4 goals and 2 assists.
The USA will face Sweden on Friday for the championship. Sweden defeated the Russian 3-1. Earlier in the tournament Sweden defeated the USA 4-2.
