The article didn't go into it, but there's a real interesting story about Brooks & Woods and a potential area of friction.

Good to see Woodsie still has his Boone hockey Jersey. DU needs to reintroduce the Boone Jersey on throwback nights.

FYI Woody played on the first USA WJC U-20 Team in 1977 which was coached by Marshall Johnston.

Enjoyed this story. Alot of guys out there probably still say "I should have been on that team"; but when Craig Patrick says it - it holds more weight. I've often wondered why there weren't any DU guys on that team

Most of DU's stars in that era were Canadian.

DU did have two players on the 1980 Canaduan Olympic Team - Glenn Anderson and Ken Berry,

"The fastest way to make this team is by being fast!" I guess he just didn't have the wheels...

They should have had Wrenn talk to Woods before he jumped ship. Woods stayed, even though he had to play his final years for one of the all time worst coaches in DU history, Marshall Johnston. Woods got his degree and a good job. What more could Wrenn want?
