Hockey Day is here again.

Fox Sports North is broadcasting its annual "Hockey Day Minnesota" telecast on Saturday. This year the station will broadcast from several cities around the state, including Moorhead, St. Paul and Minneapolis.

The broadcast begins at 9 a.m. and the first game will be high school games featuring Roseau vs. Wayzata outdoors in Moorhead. Then the hometown Spuds will play Hill-Murray at 1:30 p.m.

Two other games will be carried. The University of Minnesota men's team will host Denver at Mariucci Arena at 5 p.m. and the Minnesota Wild will cap the night with a game against the St. Louis Blues.

All in all, Fox Sports North will broadcast 14 hours of hockey games and related coverage.

Gotta tell you, this blog is great. Don't know what I would do without it in following my Pioneers. My only question is, how in the world do you gather all this information from afar?

The DG tentacles have a far reach indeed. At the tip of those are razor sharp claw-like hooks that are deeply embedded in the very heart of Pioneer nation.

Well put. DG is truly connected.

Thanks for the 82 degrees Chase. That really cheers me up since it was MINUS 23 last week just above Denver where I live. You really know how to hurt a guy.

Chase, you can check scores from all over college hockey on CHN's "Live Scoreboard."

Many, many DU fans, alumni and students email me links to stories, take photos and pass along info. Thanks to our readers and people who comment on the articles we have a pretty good blog.
