Tech Looks To Tie CC's Losing Streak Record

(above) Colorado College went from national champs to chumps in five short years in the early Sixties

With two losses to Wisconsin last weekend, Michigan Tech's losing streak in WCHA games sits at 16, which puts them two games away from history. A sweep at the hands of UAA this weekend would tie the WCHA record for most consecutive losses.

Colorado College set the record at 18 games in 1961–62, set less than five years after winning the 1957 National Championship.

In 1958 Colorado College's president Dr. Louis T. Benezet, promised to revamp his school's hockey program to "reduce the number of Canadians on CC's roster." The rest, as they say, is history.

Who is the guy in the front of the picture? Perhaps their scoring leader or Assistant Captain

Yesss, I saw that blurb and was going to email it to you. Then thought, naw, he's probably all over it even as we speak.

Let's hope MTU can get one so CC can continue to hold this special place in our hearts...

Ugh this is bad; I really hate to associate the Huskies or anyone else with the Tigers in any way shape or form. Colorado College just plain sucks. Sure, MTU might be in a rut - but they do have a good school, good fans - and I hope one day thier program turns around. The CC Tigers on the other hand......just flat out suck! Always have. Always will. And they'll just always be that 3rd Colorado hockey team, that never can get it right. ONE NINE FIVE SEVEN. CC Sucks so bad, even Hoover is jealous

Bad news for Sioux. Kristo out indefinitely with frostbite after he was walking in GF in -33 degree wind chill. Story seems clear as mud right now. Wish him a speedy and full recovery. Even if he was being 'dumb' and alcohol involved, feel really bad for the kid.

Wait a minute, wait a minute Anon...are you referring to Hoover the vacuum or to J. Edgar Hoover? Well, I guess that either reference might work.
