Duluth takes care of business and dumps Onion 2-0. Silly ECAC.

UNO up 2-0 over Michigan at end of 1...one shorthanded goal in the mix.

Michigan looks surprised at the speed of UNO.

Michigan scores on UNO, 5 seconds into the 2nd.

2-1 Omaha.

Geezus...Union was 0-9 on the powerplay against UMD. Ouch.

Zoomies and Yale underway in Bridgeport....

AFA skating with Yale, 5+ minutes gone in the first. Falcons need to keep it close...

Hm. This sucks. I'm having a conversation with myself. I was hoping this would be an active forum. Guess it's back to the wasteland of USCHO...

Very controversial call in the Michigan 3-2 OT victory against UNO.

CC is playing tough against BC up 3-1 with 8 minutes left in the first. Cameramen are having a tough time keeping track of the game. Both teams are fast and strong tonight.

so Shwartz is kind of having a huge game against BC. I'm a big fan of Zucker, but if it wasn't for injuries, do people think Shwartz might have won the rookie of the year? What were his stats like compared to Zucker before he got hurt?

Wow, this is the CC team that hung 9 on DU!

dggoddard said...

Looks like DU's little sister is playing like Cinderella in the 1st period. BC looks shocked.

CC is awesome so far 4-1 with a shorthanded goal in the first.

Fun times at the Golden Bee tonight.

looks like CC has the potential to pull a major upset against Boston College...the puck seems to be in CC's favor tonight

Jordan said...

Not that I like to admit it, but it's more than puck bounces. They're dominating.

Anonymous said...

Agreed, Jordan ... This isn't luck, CC is destroying them.

DU/CC Dad said...

That was a pretty intense first period. If both teams can keep it up for another 2 periods, the team that wins is gonna be pretty tuckered out for tomorrow's game!

CC showing the importance of compete level.

DU needs to play like that tomorrow.

Jaden Schwartz is bitch-slapping BC right now.

Wow. Seriously amazing.

6-2 CC SHORTIE #2

CC turned the game around with their awesome power play.

DU still has the NCAA record for consecultive Tourney wins (8) along with Minnesota, BC and perhaps another school.

Jordan said...

I certainly hope that the 4 seed in our bracket can pull this kind of performance tomorrow.

Anonymous said...

Holy smokes, 7-2

this is a massacre...kind of feeling sorry for BC

DU/CC Dad said...

CC is kickin' butt and takin' names in this one.

UNO got jobbed.

I guess BC doesn't have much faith in their back-up goalie.

CC wins 8-4. What a performance.

BC should have taken a timeout after the third goal to settle the boyz down. Probably should have lifted Muse after the 4th goal.

how shocked is everyone after CC spanked BC. thats unreal. God I hope DU shows up tomorrow

dggoddard said...

Raises hand. Props to CC.

Frank Serratore told Air Force, "You can't win the game in the first period, but you can lose it."

BC lost their game in the first period.

The CC game is a good lesson on playing hard and getting to the net. Gotta hand it to the Tigers - that was an ass whupping of the defending champs . really impressive by CC.

Suck it BC!

I couldn't believe Coach York left his Golden Boy Muse out there in net as long as he did. Did you hear those announcers during the first 10 minutes or so, foaming at the mouth over BC and thier Goalie???

Stay classy Mexico!

I think BC thought they won it in the first 9 seconds. Props to CC. They played a great game.

Pathetic crowd in St. Louis. Hard to believe they couldn't get a better turnout than that. I am sure it was very disappointing for Barry Melrose and the rest of the East-biased ESPN clowns to see their vaunted BC boys go down so hard.

Having NCAA regionals in empty arena stinks. Having less than four days to purchase airfares excludes 98% of the hard core fans.

Best solution would be to allow the #1 seeds to host the Regionals, but there probably would be some scheduling conflicts and some college hockey arenas can only seat 2,000 people.

2nd Best solution would be to have four permanent sites. Boston, Detroit, St. Paul & Manchester.

looks like north dakota will be advancing, 4-0 at almost the end of the second period

DU/CC Dad said...

Looks like the Sioux are playing just good enough to win. They don't appear to be straining too hard. If we win today, tomorrow's game will be a blast.

DU/CC Dad said...

OK, I got ahead of myself...Let's win today...first things first!!!!
