Boone landed safely in Baltimore this morning at 9:15 AM. He was met at the airport by his security detail.

Now that this is a lax and hockey page you should add some lax links. I would also love to keep tabs on the recruiting front here!? Wesley Berg is tearing it up in the bcjall.....this kid is nasty!

without a doubt, the best DU fan site, regardless of the sport we are dominating in!

dominating?

methinks UVA is opening a can. even mexico's tube steak realizes this.

@ anon 1:30

There is no off season for a true hockey Pio. None. Just because there are no games doesn't mean anything as DU hockey deserves 365 day a year recognition.

ouch. this one's gonna leave a mark.

@ anon 2:48

Isn't this the only DU fan site? Pretty hard to not be the best without any competition.

This is ugly...

Good... maybe we can get back to hockey now!

Well, DU tried to make a game of it in the last quarter. Too bad, but it was still an outstanding season.

Anonymous said...

Well.....at least the Lax team is holding up the hockey team's tradition of post season chokes.

Anonymous said...

Almost as bad is the drubbing the hockey team received in it's last game of the season.....almost.

i wouldn't categorize shocking the lacrosse world with a long post season run as 'choking.' moron.

LetsGoDU is a vehicle to promote school spirit at DU. Increased school spirit leads to better crowd support, interaction between students, alumni & fans and more fun times at games.

LetsGoDU needs DU lacrosse and DU Lacrosse needs LetsGoDU. Lacrosse brings a whole new demographic to the blog and we bring our infrastructure; including mascot, exposure, networking and social media capabilities to the table.

Read the NY Times article on Friday about DU lax. It mentions the all craziness at the Crimson & Gold Tavern last week and how much it meant to the players. That's right in our blog's wheelhouse.

Can you believe it? DU students being praised for excessive and spontaneous school spirit in the New York Freakin' Times. Unimaginable five years ago.

Great seasons for both the hockey and lax teams. If someone told me the lax team would be playing in the Final 4 in Baltimore last February, I would have asked them what they were smoking. What Bill Tierney and his staff have done at DU is nothing short of amazing. Props go out to the previous regime for bringing in the upperclassmen on the team, but Bill and his staff changed the culture of the team and molded it into one of the top teams in the country.

Traditionally, DU has been known as a hockey school, but having a national contending lax team only expands the school's exposure. I was amazed at how many young lax players were supporting DU at the quarterfinals last week in Hempstead, NY. By the way, many lax players, especially in upstate NY, are also hockey players. It is a natural crossover sport. I have no problem with this blog supporting the wider DU athletic community as we are fans of all of the DU teams. Neither do the DU hockey playesr who were out in force to support the lax team when DU played Villanova in the first round of the NCAA playoffs in Denver two weeks ago.

The significant point on exposure that the Lax success brings us is in the upscale private schools on the eastern seaboard. A set of students that are excellent candidates for attending D.U. who previously mostly knew very little about our school.
