The stadium at Hofstra holds 13,000. In 1999 they had 12,292 for an NCAA quarterfinal game between Johns Hopkins & Duke. In 2001 they had 10,510 for another quaterfinal game between Hofstra & Syracuse. First game this Saturday is Cornell/Virginia followed by Hopkins/DU. A lot of local LI players on Cornell, Vitginia and Hopkins. Ads are in the local newspapers for the tourney. Should be a big crowd at Shuart Stadium.

Weather forecast on LI. It is supposed to rain all week through Friday with temps in the 60s.

Saturday: Sun and clouds, warmer. Highs in the 60s at the shorelines to low 70s. Lows 55 to 60. Looks like it will be a nice day.

hopefully there will be a player or two from Johns Hopkins wearning tights like Cunningham (#29) from Nova. That was some classic heckling coming from the crowd.

Poor lil fella didn't wanna get carpet burn. That said, he's a real good player.

Cunnigham had a pulled hamstring, hence the tights. NFL players wear them routinely - you just don't see them under the football pants.

It was hilarious listening to the DU fans vocally ride him everytime he touched the ball....

5:28 - It was also hilarious that Tights didn't score a goal after he started getting heckled. Sure, it was immature, but it's just the crowd having fun and taking advantage of home field. Have you ever attended a sporting event before?

This is 5:28. I heckled him all afternoon.

It was wonderful.
