Bill Tierney is taking a men's lacrosse program to its first NCAA Final Four. As submitters to a certain irreverent news-aggregating website might say, this is not a repeat from 1992.
This time it is Denver making its championship weekend debut.
The Pioneers (15-2) face Virginia (11-5) in Saturday's first semifinal at Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium (4 p.m. ET, ESPN2). Defending champion Duke (14-5) meets Maryland (12-4) in the second (approx. 6:30 ET, ESPN2).
