Mike Chambers Blog is reporting that The University of Denver hockey program will interview longtime New Hampshire goalie coach David Lassonde this week. Check out the article on why it may be a big coup for DU.
Chambers also had a conversation with former DU assistant coach Derek Lalonde, who's departure created the opening in the coaching staff.

Not sure why Lassonde would want to move from UNH at this point in his career?
Isn't he the heir apparent to Bob Kullen?
And I can't remember a truly top level goalie at UNH since Ty Conklin...
Very interesting candidate.
As Chambers mentions Lassonde's bio very impressive. Besides the goaltenders, he coaches the blueliners, would be a huge asset in recruiting and has tons of experience. He's as been the associate head coach at UNH since 2004.

During the last DU assistant coaching search John Harrington interviewed, but wasn't hired, so read into this what you will. Maybe Lassonde just wants a raise at UNH.
A potential coaching staff of Gwozdecky, Miller, Lassonde, Thomas with support from Tenzer and Ron Grahame...Top notch all the way.
I'd like to see DU bring someone with NHL experience as a player or coach. Most top NCAA staffs have at least one coach who has been to the show...
